It’s almost time to kickoff the 2016 football season! This year’s varsity team includes 30 seniors for the coaches to look to for leadership. Head coach Will Rogers, recently participated in the Fulton County Media Day along with seniors, DJ Brown and Khalil McClain. DJ says that fans can look forward to the team giving it all their all this year in pursuit of a championship. The defensive back has verbally committed to take his talents to Penn State. Khalil has scholarship offers to choose from, but is currently undecided. He steps up this season to add quarterback to his offensive duties, after spending most of last season at wide receiver.
DJ, Khalil, and the rest of the team have the ultimate goal of being the last men standing in AAAAAA when December comes around. Coach Rogers has encouraged the team to “stay humble and hungry”. The season begins with the FCS Gridirion Challenge at Cambridge HS on Saturday, August 13th, followed by the first home game in THE SWAMP when we host Miami-Norland HS on Saturday, August 20th in the Eric Berry Classic.
