Creekside HS Athletics is pleased to welcome Maurice Dixon as our head football coach. The CHS graduate returns to The Swamp after spending the last 5 years as a teacher and offensive coordinator at Drew HS in Clayton County. “I am proud to be a product of this program and excited about this opportunity,” Dixon said. He envisions bringing hard work and consistency as the student-athletes pursue perfection on and off the field. He said, “We’re going to E.A.T.T. – play with effort, attitude, toughness and tempo.”
Coach Dixon was a member of the first Creekside football team to advance to the Georgia Dome in 2000; signing after that season with Bethune-Cookman University. He finished his collegiate career at the University of West Georgia and later competed in the Arena Football League with the Chicago Rush. The Palmetto, GA native and his wife Charmaine, have two children – Gabrielle (3) and future Seminole, Hayden (8), who participates in the Fairburn Flames youth football program.
We look forward to the great things Coach Dixon will bring to The Tribe! Mark your calendars for our first home game on September 1st as we host the Southwest Dekalb Panthers.
