Senior Khatavian Franks is a 4-yr member of the football program who is currently committed to continue his athletic and academic career at the University of Louisville.  Khatavian is involved in several activities on campus, including FBLA, Next Generation Men, and CHS Male Ambassadors.  A standout on the field and in the classroom, he credits his success to year-round work ethic.  Head Coach Maurice Dixon stated, “Khatavian demonstrates the true meaning of student-athlete.  He is a great leader in the school and for our football team.”

April Romo is a senior volleyball player who also participates in FBLA, Skills USA, Communities In Schools and the French Honor Society.  At this year’s Homecoming, she was named Ms. Red & Gold.  April plans to attend Duke University or the University of Chicago with plans to study business and communications.  Then she intends to go to law school and become a lawyer for immigration services.  April noted that while some people focus mostly on athletic skills, sportsmanship and a positive attitude should not be overlooked.  Head Coach Roderetta Green said, “April balances volunteering, dual-enrollment classes, and tutoring others all while maintaining excellent grades and giving her all on the court.”

We are proud to have Khatavian and April as student leaders in the TRIBE!
